What Is A Tinted Moisturizer?

Tinted moisturizer is perhaps one of the best things to ever happen to the beauty world as it has fused the benefits of a light foundation with essential skin health and care. This moisturizing product works by adding a subtle tint to match the color of your skin and combines with the light foundation to give you a more natural look without the appearance of heavy makeup. One of the greatest things about tinted moisturizer is that most of them come with SPF (something other foundations do not have) which further adds value by protecting your skin from the sun while keeping it well hydrated and healthy.

Why Would I Use A Tinted Moisturizer?

Tinted Moisturizers are excellent because they combine all of the best ways to keep your skin healthy while still providing a very light layer of foundation that is able to cover up minor blemishes quickly and effectively. Ideally you would want to use this product casually, such as when going to the gym, waking up in the morning, going to the store or any other location that having an exceptionally heavy makeup appearance would otherwise just look out of place. This light coverage is durable and flexible and have no problems lasting all day. The benefit of having a moisturizer and a foundation in one is worth its weight in gold as it has become no secret that moisturizers and SPF are now the biggest thing in cosmetics. The ease of use when it comes to applying the tinted moisturizer is less “high maintance” then traditional foundation, not to mention getting a “2 for 1” on the foundation and moisturizer will save a lot of money in the long run. These products are made by nearly all major cosmetic companies which means there is a huge choice open to you when choosing which one will work best for you – also the fact that these products come in different shades to match your skin perfectly is absolutely amazing.

Why Would I Not Use Tinted Moisturizer?

The only reason you would not use this product is if you are looking to really go somewhere special and intend to cover major facial blemishes. The only major downside to this product is that it does not offer the full on coverage of traditional foundation, but that is the intention of the product. In order to achieve the lightweight feel and look, total coverage has to be sacrificed somewhere along the line, but as per many tinted moisturizer reviews, this is not a bad thing to many people. This should provide sufficient coverage but those who prefer heavy makeup consistantly may be a little disppointed but should still give the product a try as it may be better for the skin over a longer period of time.

What Is The Cost of Tinted Moisturizer?

Surprisingly the cost of this product is relatively cheap. You can pick it up for as little as 10 dollars from some of the major cosmetic companies while the upper end of the scale can tip off at as much as $20-35.00.
