We have all heard and even used aloe vera gel at one point or another in our lives to treat our skin and help alleviate the pain and discomfort from sunburn and other types of burns as a whole, but there must be thousands of aloe vera gel uses I am sure that you were not previously aware of before. For instance, aside from the skin, aloe vera gel can be used on the hair, eyes, gums, muscles and even ingested orally. Before discovering the true capabilities of this mighty plant, it is important to identify and learn exactly what makes aloe vera itself so special. In its common use, this plant has become known for its ability to heal, moisturize, relax and take away the discomfort of burning and stinging pains we experience. In reality, this plant is used in cosmetics, shampoos, soaps, preservatives, shaving cream, lotions and even food.

Ingesting Aloe Vera

Ingesting aloe vera has shown to have many benefits as research has started to show us that ingestion may help soothe stomach acid and problems, irritable-bowel syndrome and even help promote healing and regeneration of internal organs. People suffering from stomach ulcers, heartburn and ingestion as well as IBS have all turned to trying this product for relief. There is also a certain part of the plant that is regarded as a potent laxative which may be used to help relieve the associated problem. Be careful when consuming the laxative part of the plant as it can work a little too well at times.

Aloe Vera Gel and Skin

While it has been said already that it is no secret that people use aloe vera for burns of the skin, you can also use it for other types of wounds, skin and hair conditions too. Dandruff, hair loss, acne and all other sorts of conditions have shown good promise when using different aloe vera gels, shampoos and lotions.

Aloe Gel and Dental Health

The gel is mainly used to help relieve pain and reduce inflammation on weakened and diseased gums. Try adding some pure aloe vera gel into your tooth paste or mouthwash for an added benefit. The aloe has been shown to help promote faster healing and recovery times for such issues; people with braces and those who have just experienced dental work, such as teeth whitening, may even find temporary relief by trying to apply the gel directly to the inflicted oral area.

Aloe Vera and Pain Relief

Another amazing thing is that this gel is able to quickly absorb into the skin and work fast to help sooth any muscle pains, stiffness and even joint, bone and arthritic problems. It is always best to apply the gel to these areas a few times a day and be consistent with its application.

Aloe for the Eyes

Some individuals have ever come to see aloe vera gel benefits by applying it directly to the eyes – care should be taken and even a phone call to a doctor should be made if this is the decided path of application. The benefits of doing so could be to reduce dry eye and help with ulcers but is still a relatively new approach and use of aloe.
